George E. Ribick

George E. Ribick, 89, husband of the late Helen (Rakowski) Ribick, of Phoenixville, PA, died on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 in the Southeastern Veterans' Center, Spring City, PA.

Born on June 9, 1927 in Mont Clare, PA, he was the son of the late Michael and Anna (Chico) Ribick.

George served in the United States Army during World War II, and worked at Superior Tube Company for over 47 years.

He was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Phoenixville, a member of St. Mary's Holy Name Society and the Men of Malvern, and a Fourth degree member of the Knights of Columbus Phoenixville Council.

He donated the Infant of Prague statue with his wife, Helen, to St. Mary's Church, helped with refinishing the doors of the church, and regularly helped with bingo in the old school hall.

He loved the outdoors, gardening, woodworking, refinishing furniture, raising honeybees and pigeons, fishing, hunting, and searching for the elusive Purple Martin swallow.

Most of all George loved his wife, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family, and friends.

Surviving are,
daughter, Maryann wife of Frank Willard of Chester Springs, PA,
son, Gregory E. husband of Michele Ribick of Douglassville, PA,

5 grandchildren,
Francis (Stephanie Smith), Elizabeth, Peter, Emily, and Alane.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Ribick.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass in St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, 212 Dayton Street, Phoenixville, PA, on Monday, May 22, 2017 at 10:00 am.

Burial will follow in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Phoenixville, PA.

Relatives and Friends may call at the church on Monday morning from 8:45 am to 9:45 am.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Southeastern Veterans' Center, 1 Veterans Drive, Spring City, PA 19475.
